Really unusual and one-of-a-kind ring made in France c1900 to 1920 and set in a fine handmade yellow gold setting with a wonderful natural yellow sapphire stone set within fourteen claws. It is cushion-cut.

The weight of it is sixteen carats and a half.
It did not need embellishment with any diamonds, because the creator of the ring originally wanted it to stand out on its own and for the sapphire to be the centre point of all the attention.

Highly unusual pendant and chain, made in the late 19th century and set in silver.
It depicts a beautifully executed Buddha. What is really unusual about this piece is that it has a secret little compartment in the base that you can click open, and inside are the original 5 dice.

Astragalomancy, or cubomancy, or astragyromancy, is a form of cleromancy: a divination practice that uses dice specially marked with letters or numbers, and is often associated with Buddhism. Therefore this is not originally a gambler's charm.
It could have become an unusual party piece maybe for someone who wanted to go out gambling and keep their dices with them, or someone with higher spiritual pursuits.
