Original Georgian period mourning broach, made in England c1780. It is set in 9k rose gold and is inset with plated human hair with the centre of the broach being set with an ivory urn which is decorated with 9k rose gold. The outer rim of the broach is set with small natural pearls which at the time represented 'tears'.
