Unusual ring made in the Georgian period in England c1780 to 1800.
It is set in eighteen-carat yellow gold and it is set with a rock crystal which is hand carved and then painted in reverse.

The painting is set on woven hair as a background for grief, probably for a person lost at sea, given the maritime nature of the figure.

It is a mourning ring and it is beautifully decorated on each side in a split shank design.

Magnificent emerald ring of the finest and highest quality. It was made c1940, in the late Art Deco period. It is set in a fine handmade platinum setting and it is simply set with an Asscher-cut Colombian emerald set within four claws.
The emerald weight is seven carats and twenty-nine points.
The colour of the emerald is absolutely exquisite, and the simplicity of its design means that it is as modern today as it was when it was made in the 1940s.
