Very unusual but simple single diamond solitaire ring. It has a very large rose-cut diamond set in the centre.
It is set within eight claws.

The rose-cut diamond is one carat and eighty-two points, but it appears to spreads like a two-and-a-half or three carat stone.
You do not normally see rose cut diamonds of this size, and set in this manner, as they were often re-cut in later periods.

It is set in the centre with an Asscher-cut ruby in a milgrain setting, surrounded by a single row of old-small brilliant-cut diamonds. and then again by a row of smaller square French-cut rubies.
It could be called a square target ring, in the elegantly subversive Art Deco style.
