Unusual pair of emerald and diamond set earrings from the 1940's.
They are set in fine eighteen-carat yellow gold and platinum setting with each earring being set with round cut Colombian emeralds, brilliant-cut and emerald cut diamonds, all in a floral drop style setting.
The top section of each earring is detachable so this section of the earring can be worn as a stud. This style of earring from the 1940's was known as a "day and night" pair of earrings.
