Brooch made c1900, in the Art Nouveau period.
It is set in a fine gold setting with a wonderful oval fire opal in the centre set within eight claws.
It is set on each side with a single green demantoid garnet and at the far end of the brooch we’ve got a smaller fire opal set in a similar clawed setting.
