This beautiful original late Victorian period chain was made in England C1880.
It is known as a guard or muff chain and to be so they need to be sixty inches in length so they can be worn with ease twice or three times around a neck.
This chain is nine carats old yellow gold and is of a belcher link.
It also has its original swivel catch so different items can be worn on the chain.
From a pocket watch to a Victorian seal or fob.
