Very unusual and simple ring made c1780 to 1800, in the Georgian period.
It is set in a very fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting with a beautiful cabochon cut oval-shaped agate stone in a very fine rub-over setting, and it has wonderful colours from green to brown and cream.
The shoulders of the ring are decorated in what is known as a split shank design.
