Exquisite original Edwardian period fire opal and diamond set dress ring, made in England c1905. It is set in a fine platinum setting with a wonderful oval shaped fire opal in the centre set in a milligrain setting. This is surrounded by a band of black onex and a single row of small transitional cut diamonds, all in an oval shaped setting. The ring also had two small transitional cut diamonds set into the top of the shanks, in the Edwardian manner
