Here we have a really unusual brooch made in England c1850 to 1860, and it is set in a very fine and heavy eighteen-carat yellow gold frame.
It is set in the centre in an Essex crystal, which is hand carved and painted with a deer in the background.
It is backed with mother of pearl to highlight the painting.
Finally a hunting horn surrounds the entire piece.
A very wearable piece for today.
