Exceptionally pretty and early Georgian period diamond set ring made in England c1770 to 1800. It is set in a very fine eighteen-carat yellow gold and silver fronted setting and set in the centre with an oval old European-cut diamond set in a very fine clawed setting which is surrounded by a series of smaller old European-cut diamonds, all in a pear-shape.
It is decorated on the shoulders in what is known as a split-shank design.
Georgian pieces of jewellery like this are getting increasingly difficult to find these days.
(You can find this item in the category Georgian pieces, as well as Diamond rings and Rings under €3,000)
