Wonderful original late 19th century sapphire and diamond set ring made in England c1880 to 1900 and set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold carved setting. It set with five beautiful rich blue oval-shaped sapphires stones graduated in size, set in a very fine cloud setting. The sapphires in this ring are known as basaltic sapphires, with old European-cut diamonds in between.
