Amazingly fluid and free-spirited French ring made c1940, set in eighteen-carat white gold.
It features at the centre a natural ruby set in four twin claws.

What makes quite unique is that the centre-stone is surrounded by numerous tapered emerald-cut diamonds which tutu-like design earned it the moniker of “ballerina ring”.
