French yellow sapphire and diamond marvel ^{(circa 1900)}

Yellow sapphire and diamond set ring made in France c1900.

It is set in a fine platinum setting with a wonderful cushion-cut natural yellow sapphire stone in the centre set in eight claws.

The shoulders are decorated in a split shank design with small old round-cut diamonds.

The sapphire in the centre of the ring is approximately three carats.
