Spectacular sapphire and diamond-set cluster ring, the oldest of it kind in our shop, as it was made in the Georgian period in England c1780-1800. The setting is all in fine eighteen-carat gold as was the custom at the time.
It is set in the centre with a single Ceylon cushion-cut sapphire within eight claws, and this is surrounded by a single row of old European-cut diamonds. The details on the shoulders is also very pretty.
