Really unusual original vintage amethyst and diamond set ring made c1940 to 1950 and set in a fine fourteen-carat yellow gold and white gold setting, so this ring is most likely either Austrian or American. It is set in the centre with a wonderful cabochon-cut natural amethyst stone set in a rub-over setting. The shoulders of the ring are highlighted with old brilliant-cut diamonds.
