Beautiful original mid 19th century amethyst and diamond set ring made in England c1850 to 1860.
It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold and silver-fronted setting and is set in the centre with a cushion cut amethyst set in a rub over setting.
The shoulders of the ring are also set with old round-cut diamonds and the very top of the shank in the yellow gold has a lovely little notch detail to it.
