Very unusual brooch made in the early Victorian period in England c1830 to 1840. It is set in a mixture of nine-carat gold and fifteen-carat green gold. It depicts an owl in the centre for good luck, surrounded by leaves, and the owl himself is set with two cabochon-cut ruby stones for his eyes. It is a really charming and unusual brooch.
