It was made in France and is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting with a single marquise-shaped cabochon-cut Mexican fire opal in the centre set in a fine-clawed setting.
This is surrounded by 28 old brilliant-cut diamonds set in a similar clawed setting.
It is fully hallmarked and stamped by Cartier on the inside of the shank.
