Unusual and rare mid nineteenth century diamond and pearl pendant necklace, made in France c1860. It is set in a fine eighteen-carat gold silver fronted setting with a single cushion cut diamond in the centre set in an 8 claw setting. This centre stone is surrounded by 5 large old cut diamonds and 33 smaller old cut diamonds in a Maltese cross shape setting. The 3 pendants are also set with old cut diamonds and terminate with a single natural pearl to match the natural pearl at the top of this wonderful piece.
