Truly unique original antique pin made in England c1850 to 1860 and is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting. It is set in the centre with an Essex crystal: a cabochon cut crystal which is cut out from the back in reverse, and then painted. It is in the form of a jockey on a horse. It is wonderfully painted with a gold background. The brooch is further enhanced by a single row of Colombian emeralds and old round-cut diamonds. It is an absolutely stunning, small and petite piece.
