Wonderful vintage ladies brooch made circa 1950-1960, set in a very fine 18 carat yellow gold heavy setting.
It depicts a phantasmagorical sea creature, or whimsical cat, or fierce dragon with beautiful cabochon-cut Ruby eyes.
The whiskers and the nose are set with beautiful old brilliant cut diamonds and the body is beautifully worked with intricate eighteen-carat gold wire work.
