Really unusual sapphire and diamond ring made in the Georgian period c1780 to 1800.
It is set in a fine rose gold nine-carat setting and is set in the centre with a lovely rich dark blue sapphire stone set in a rub over setting.
This is surrounded by two rows of old rose-cut diamonds, all in what is known nowadays as a target shape setting.
