One unusual and rare original Georgian period single-stone diamond set solitaire ring made c1780. It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting with a single oval-shaped rose-cut diamond in the centre set in a clawed setting.
The diamond in the ring is foil-back as was customary at the time.
It is further enhanced with small old round-cut diamonds on each shoulder in a split-shank design.
Diamond weight: approximately one carat fifty points
