Absolutely amazing original mid 19th century bangle made in France c1860-1870 (late Second Empire, early Revival Era) and is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold. It is set in the centre with four old round-cut diamonds in a fine-clawed setting.
The diamond weight is just under one carat. The beauty of this piece is the wonderful black enamel detailing to the shoulders. The top too is beautifully enamelled with black enamel: it might have been a mourning piece at the time when it was made.
