Exceptionally pretty original antique sapphire and diamond set ring made in the late 19th century, c1880 to 1900. It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting with two sapphires set in a very fine six-claw setting it set on each side with small old round-cut diamonds in what is known as a two-stone sapphire and diamond twist ring in Ireland and England, and in France as a toi-et-moi ring.
