Unusual late Victorian period diamond and emerald set ring, made in England c1880. It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting with three old round-cut diamonds graduated in size set in a milgrain setting. It is also set with two round-cut Colombian emeralds set in an eight-claw setting. The unusual format of this ring is most likely because it was a specially commissioned piece at the time it was made.
