Stunning original early 20th century sapphire and diamond set ring made in France c1910 to 1915 in a very beautiful handmade platinum setting. It is set in the centre with an oval-shaped rich blue sapphire stone set in a Milgrain setting.
The centre stone here is two carats and eighty points. It is surrounded by a single row of old round-cut diamonds, including four larger ones in the corners, with an interrupted outer row set with square French-cut sapphire stones. It is fully hallmarked on the outside of the shank, as is the custom in France with the dog’s head, which is for platinum.
