Exquisite mid Victorian cultural pearl choker necklace, made c1870. It has a wonderful gold and diamond centrepiece which used to be a brooch/pendant. It is set with magnificent old cut diamonds in an oval shaped floral pierced design. The various cuts to the diamonds in this piece make it instantly appealling and very rich to look at. The pearls which are not graduated in size are 8 mm in diameter and are of excellent colour, texture and quality.
