Mid-Victorian period mourning brooch.
Made in England c1850, it is set in a fine eighteen-carat gold setting, and set with eight natural pearls and eight turquoise stones in a circular setting.
The centre is decorated with hand-woven human hair, and is applied with the initials of the mourned individual in gold.
