Unusual and rare two-stone diamond set ring was made in England circa 1900 and is set in a fine handmade platinum setting with two cushion cut diamonds set within eight claws.

The diamond weighs are one carat twenty-one each.

It is known in English as a two-stone twist ring, and more specifically as a by-pass ring in this case. In France they would call it a toi-et-moi ring.

This beautiful specimen was made in England c1900, set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow-gold setting typical of the Victorian period.
It features a rich-blue oval sapphire stone at its centre, set within six claws, set on each side with a single old round-cut diamond, and with on either end a smaller sapphire stone.

This is known as a panel ring and the centre is set with four old brilliant cut diamonds in a milgrain setting. The border is beautifully set with smaller shoulder on the sides.
