The diamond weight is one carat and fifty points.
It is a colour J to K and a clarity VS2.

Really nice and unusual piece of antique jewellery, an original vesta case. It was made in England c1900 and is set in a very fine nine-carat, slightly rose coloured gold.
It is an antique matchbox to kept "strike-anywhere" matches. It has room on the front where you could put the initials or coat of arms or name of someone, and on the base of it there is a striker to strike the matches.
Nowadays this piece would be worn on a lovely chain, maybe a 30-inch chain, or on a muff chain.
It is a really lovely piece in a beautiful crisp original condition.

It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold and white gold setting and it is set with four old brilliant-cut diamonds in a very fine clawed setting.
Rrings with three stones and five stones are quite common, but the four-stone versions are a bit different and a bit unusual: they are usually made for for someone that was forty years old, or for a fortieth anniversary, or for a family of four (or four children, a clan of four).
