They are set in a fine eighteen-carat white gold settings, set in the centre with a single brilliant-cut diamond set in a very fine clawed setting.

The diamond weight in the two main stones is one carat and twenty points.
There are smaller diamonds around the side of the earring.

It is hand-painted on ivory and is signed and dated by the artist 1883.
The reverse of the pendant is fitted with a mother of pearl panel.

It is fully hallmarked and stamped by Cartier on the inside of the shank.
