Most magnificent mid-19th century bracelet, made initially c1850 to 1860.
It is set in a very fine eighteen-carat yellow gold. The bracelet is of a woven strap.
It features at the front a beautiful micro mosaic panel. Micro mosaic is the art of creating a painting-like picture, in this case a vase of flowers, out of very, very small pieces of stone, marble, or glass, called tesserae. There is no paint on this panel, it is purely stones. You can also notice some bigger inlay typical of the pierra dura technique, so this could be called an hybrid micro-mosaic.
The bracelet is absolutely exquisite, and it is in its original box that came from Italy c1850.
