Exceptional early 20th century sapphire and diamond set pendant necklace made in France c1905 to 1910, set in a fine platinum setting and coming with its original platinum neck chain. It is set in the centre with an old round-cut rich blue sapphire stone surrounded by a single row of old round-cut diamonds. It has a beautiful pierced broad border, an outer row of square French-cut sapphires, and four larger diamonds on the outside. Even the bezel at the top, which holds the chain, is set with emerald-cut sapphires.
