This is a small but very interesting little item.
It is a Georgian piece and was made in England c1780 to 1800. It is set in eighteen-carat yellow gold.
It is a pendant, maybe to be worn on a necklace or even on a bracelet. It depicts a padlock and is totally encrusted with natural pearls, for tears.
In the centre a crescent moon shape crystal is inset with human hair: so it is very likely a mourning piece.
