Absolutely amazing original Georgian period brooch made in England c1780-1800 set in a very fine and heavy eighteen-carat yellow gold setting.
It is set in the centre with a beautiful cushion-cut diamond set within four claws. It is surrounded by a single row of old European-cut diamonds in a similar rub-over setting. The design of the brooch itself is Rococo.
The carat weight of diamonds in this brooch is approximately two carats.
