Unusual antique brooch known as a gold-miner’s brooch.
It was traditionally made form the first nugget of gold that a miner would have found, often gifted to their sweet-heart.
It is set in nine-carat slightly rose-coloured gold, and depicts the pick, spade and bucket ; the thee tools of the mining trade.
