Really unusual antique brooch that once belonged to the late Garech de Brún, famous for his parties at Luggala house in County Wicklow in Ireland. It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold setting, inspired by the Art Nouveau period when it was made, c1910.
It is set with four natural green sapphire stones set in a very fine rope over setting. This brooch is as modern today in its appearance, as when it was made.
