Highly unusual and rare locket and chain. This locket was made in the Georgian period, c1780 to 1800, and it has a few unusual features.
First of all, it is made in fifteen-carat yellow gold, which is the most beautiful colour of gold.
Secondly, the locket itself is decorated with three different colours of gold: yellow gold, rose gold, and even green gold.
Thirdly. it comes with this beautiful matching original Victorian fifteen-carat gold chain with its original barrel clasp.
Lastly, it has beautiful interior for a lock of hair maybe or two photos. At present it holds two locks of different hair, making it a typical mourning piece, but could be used to celebrate too.
