Superb original Georgian period ring made in England c1800 and set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold and silver setting. It is set in the centre with an old European-cut diamond set within a square. It is surrounded by a single row of natural grey pearls.
The shoulders of the ring are decorated with a beautiful pierced design and the ring itself is engraved on the outside with a memorial which reads “Sacred to a mother’s memory, the 1st of May 1801”.
