Really unusual original Georgian amethyst and pearl set ring made in England c1800. It is set in a fine slightly rose coloured gold setting with a wonderful emerald-cut amethyst stone in the centre set in a rub-over setting. It is surrounded by a single row of natural pearls and the shoulders of the ring are decorated in what is known as a split shank design.
