Highly unusual original Georgian yellow sapphire and diamond set ring c1770-1800. It is set in a fine eighteen-carat yellow gold and silver fronted setting. It is set in the centre with an incredible beautiful rich octagonal yellow sapphire set in a 16-clawed setting. It is a foil backed piece in the Georgian manner of being filled in at the back with gold. This wonderful ring is set on each side with a series of rose-cut diamonds.
