Beautiful original Georgian pearl and agate set ring made in England c1780 to 1800 and set in a fine slightly rosy coloured gold setting set in the centre with a beautiful agate stone depicting a flower and two leaves and surrounded by a single row of natural pearls.
The pearls represented to the Georgians tears for sadness, so based on the black stone in the centre and the pearls, it was probably a mourning piece, maybe for someone fond of gardening.
