Really unusual Art Deco style diamond and sapphire set ring is set in a fine handmade eighteen-carat yellow gold and platinum setting. Unusually for the period it is set in the centre with a cushion-cut diamond, probably re-using a family stone.
The weight of the centre stone here is one carat and twenty points. It is surrounded by a single row of square French-cut sapphire stones and in between there are four quadrants set with small round-cut diamonds. The shoulders of the ring are highlighted with small stones.
