Really striking and unusual original late 19th century sapphire and pearl-set ring made in England c1900 and set in a fine eighteen-carat rich yellow gold setting. It is set in the centre with a series of five rich blue oval-shaped sapphire stones, slightly graduated in size, set in a very fine-clawed setting and surrounded by a single row of natural pearls. The shoulders are decorated in what is known as a split shank design. It is a really unusual ring in superb original condition.
